Benedict Cumberbatch 'knocks cyclist off his bike' on the Isle Of Wight

‘He just put his arm over him and took the full force of the impact on his forearm, which smashed the wing mirror.’

Benedict is then alleged to have got out of the car, arguing that Lawrence was in the middle of the road.

The friend continues: ‘Scooby dusted himself off and, full of adrenaline, reacted as he knows best — by slapping him. That posh actor was lucky he didn’t throw a punch.’

However, it wasn’t until the Sherlock Holmes actor took his baseball cap off that ‘Scooby’ realised it was Benedict Cumberbatch.

The report suggests that Hampshire Police was informed about the collision, however accuser Lawrence refused to issue a comment on the incident to the publication.

An insurance claim is reportedly being pursued, but no complaints or criminal action took place, Police said.

In November 2017, the Doctor Strange star came to the rescue of a cyclist who was being mugged near Baker Street in London.

Cumberbatch was praised for his ‘heroic actions’ when he got out of his taxi and rushed to the aid of a Deliveroo carrier, who was being punched in the head by four attackers.

Benedict and his wife Sophie are said to have bought a second home on the Isle of Wight in 2015 and were in the process of building a new family home there last August.

He and Sophie married there on Valentine’s Day in 2015 and now have two sons, Christopher and Hal.
