Heinz and Ed Sheeran team up for a good cause
Heinz is relishing in Ed Sheeran‘s love for ketchup.
The sauce company has teamed up with the 28-year-old singer — who famously got a tattoo of the Heinz Ketchup logo — for a good cause.
“Ed is a life-long superfan of Heinz Tomato Ketchup, so much so that he has Heinz tattooed on his arm,” a Heinz rep told Page Six on Monday. “In celebration of our 150th birthday, we wanted to repay the favor to our greatest fan by putting Ed’s famous Heinz Tomato Ketchup tattoo at center stage of our glass bottle – creating ‘Ed Sheeran x Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Tattoo Edition.’”
Sheeran posted a photo of himself posing with the special edition bottle, which features art that replicates his tattoo sleeve.
The “Beautiful People” crooner explained that the collaboration will raise money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices as well as Rise Against Hunger.
“Pretty cool eh?” he wrote.
Sheeran is such a big fan of the condiment, he has reportedly ordered his entourage to carry emergency ketchup with them at all times.
Guess in Heinz-sight, his tomato tat was a great idea.
