Lil Wayne Cancels Rolling Loud Set Over Dispute With Security

Lil Wayne canceled his Rolling Loud show in Miami on Saturday following a dispute with security officials, who asked him to go through a mandatory check before going onto the stage.

“To all my fans who came to see me at Rolling Loud, I’m sorry but I won’t be performing,” Lil Wayne wrote on Twitter, just a couple of hours before he was scheduled to go on stage. “The Festival Police (Not Rolling Loud) made it mandatory that I had to be policed and checked to get on the stadium grounds.”

“I do not and will not ever settle for being policed to do my job and give you guys a great show,” he added. “I will be at Story tonight for the afterparty and you kan katch me on tour with my bros Blink 182 this summer!”

Rolling Loud shared Wayne’s announcement on the festival’s official Twitter page.

Earlier in the day, Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif issued a statement noting an abundance of law enforcement at the venue following false reports about the presence of an active shooter within the festival grounds on Friday.
