Perry Farrell Forms The Kind Heaven Orchestra
Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell has announced the formation of a new solo band featuring current and former members of Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Jane’s Addiction.
The Kind Heaven Orchestra will make its debut at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 30 as part of the first-ever Bill Graham Festival of Lights.
The new band was formed in support of Farrell’s new solo album Kind Heaven, set to release in 2019.
Members of the band are former Pearl Jam and Soundgarden drummer Matt Chamberlain, Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Cheney, former Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts guitarist Nick Maybury, keyboardist Matt Rohde, and Farrell’s wife and singer Etty.
Speaking about the new music group, Farrel said, “Every concept I’ve ever had begun with music as its bedrock: Jane’s Addiction, Lollapalooza and now ‘Kind Heaven’. I am energized by my partnership with BMG and their commitment to my music, and to powering it with state-of-the-art technology.”
