Filming herself with her professional partner, the blonde beauty explained her “rib has twisted” which resulted in her “muscles having spasms”.

Despite the injury, Saffron said she is feeling better and they are remaining positive for this weekend’s dance.

“I wanna give you all an update,” she began. “You’ve probably all seen I’ve been in agony with my back, which I have, but we are still here in the training room

“The first couple of days, we hadn’t been able to train properly.”

AJ interrupted: “We just haven’t been able to do 12 hour days, that’s for sure.”

“Yeah pretty much,” Saffron continued. “But we’ve been learning the steps and stuff, now we’re really trying to perfect it which is a lot harder because if I bend back slightly, I’m still in pain.”

Saffron wrote on the video: “You’ve probably all seen that I’ve got injury with my back!

“My rib has twisted and so therefore all my muscles are having spasms however we’re still going & I’m feeling so much better than day one & two!

“Wouldn’t give up for anything!!”

In a follow-up post, Saffron begged her fans for their support this weekend, to get them through to another week.

She said: “All positivity! Please, please watch this week we’ve struggled and so will need all your support but so excite for this dance!!!”

Earlier this week, Saffron shared a picture of herself revealing she had been up in the early hours due to the pain.

“The pain in my back is just keeping me up all night,” she wrote.

Saffron also told her followers: “Guys, I’m actually in so much pain, I really hurt my back on Saturday and we actually can’t get through it today.”

Despite the difficulties they will face, David James is the favourite to be eliminated out of the competition with Nadiya Bychkova.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One at 6.40pm.
