Khabib Nurmagomedov reveals WWE offer – and sends message to Brock Lesnar

Khabib Nurmagomedov has revealed he has been approached by the WWE.

The Russian’s UFC future is in doubt following the disgraceful aftermath of his UFC 229 triumph over Conor McGregor .

Nurmagomedov retained his lightweight title after a stunning performance against the Irishman in Las Vegas, where he won via a fourth round rear naked choke submission.

But moments after his victory he jumped outside of the Octagon and sparked a wild, mass brawl after attacking McGregor’s stablemate Dillion Danis.

Members of Nurmagomedov’s team then set upon McGregor in scenes UFC chief Dana White branded as "disgusting".

The Nevada State Athletic Commission have since temporarily suspended both Nurmagomedov and McGregor as they probe the incident.

Nurmagomedov warned UFC he will walk away if they sack his friend and fellow fighter Zubaira Tukhugov for hitting McGregor.

And now it appears WWE are ready to offer Nurmagomedov a lucrative escape route into the squared circle.

Tweeting on Friday morning, Nurmagomedov suggested that Vince McMahon’s billion dollar corporation had made him an offer – and he immediately set his sights on former Universal Champion – and ex-UFC heavyweight king – Brock Lesnar.

"WWE ask me to jump inside. What do you guys think? #SmashLesnar #FakeFights"

The tweet instantly prompted a host of replies from excited fans who would love to see him make a move into wrestling.

"Do it," wrote one fan.

"Yes, go to WWE," said another.

Nurmagomedov’s rival McGregor has spoken of WWE’s interest before and upset a series of superstars when he taunted them two years ago.

However, McGregor revealed his admiration for "true don" Vince McMahon, who he based his famous strut on.
