Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book expected to miss Florida State game
Notre Dame starting quarterback Ian Book will miss Saturday's game against Florida State due to injury, according to multiple media reports,
The Irish Sports Daily were the first to report the news.
Book took a tough hit early in the Fighting Irish's win over Northwestern last Saturday.
"I don't even know where (it got me). It just kind of knocked the wind out of me, but I'm doing fine," he said following the game.
It is unclear how long Book will be sidelined.
Book's ascension to the starting quarterback spot catapulted Notre Dame's offense. Since being elevated to starter Sept. 22 against Wake Forest, the Irish are averaging 38.8 points a game. This season, Book has completed 74.5 percent of his passes for 1,824 yards and 15 touchdowns, with just four interceptions.
