PSG boss Tuchel unsure of Neymar and Mbappe future as star pair continue to be linked with Real Madrid

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN boss Thomas Tuchel remains unable to guarantee the future of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe ahead of a summer sure to be filled with speculation.

Real Madrid are lurking with intent as long-term admirers of the duo, having tried to sign Mbappe before he agreed his switch to PSG.

Last summer also saw rumours of a move for Neymar refuse to go away, and the Brazilian could soon be available for £145million.

That has led to Tuchel admitting his fear that key players will leave.

Making clear his hope that his squad remains intact, the coach professed to not being in total control of the situation.

He told Sky Sports News: “My wish as a manager and as a coach is clear.

"I want all my players to stay at PSG and stay with our project.

I can't promise as that would be naive.

"The work is not finished, it has just started.

“My wish is clear, but I can't promise as that would be naive and I don't want to be naive in this business.”

Reports on the duo suggest a dressing room rift built out of their battle for star status at Parc des Princes, an honour assigned to Neymar when he arrived.

However, his injury problems have opened the way for Mbappe to step up in his absence and the Frenchman is said to want a wage that matches his ability to do so.

The young forward then rocked PSG earlier this month when indicating he is ready to leave the club in search of "more responsibility".

"It's very important moment for me, I come to a turning point in my career," Mbappe had said.

"I feel it is perhaps the moment to have more responsibility.

"I hope that can maybe be at PSG, that would be a great pleasure, or perhaps elsewhere with a new project."
