Sunday's horse racing NAP: Your best bet for today's racing from Callum Jamieson
The jumping at Kelso is tricky for punters and I've been swayed to a Michael Dods good thing on the sand.
MININGGOLD (Southwell, 1.25) has won her last two over five furlongs at this unique track.
They were much calmer heats than what she faces today, but she's clearly found her feet again and isn't yet handicapped out of things.
She was running off higher marks in the summer and gets more than a stone in weight from the likely favourite.
Stamina helps at this track – even over sprint distances – and she's finished her races strongly of late.
It's a strong race for the grade and she'll have competition out front. However, the small field should suit and technically racing off 8'3 with Paula Muir claiming 5lbs, she should be very competitive.
