Groom ‘to sue mates’ after fracturing his skull during vicious stag do prank

A groom was mowed down by a car on his stag do as he ran from friends who were hurling eggs and beating him with sticks.

Ai Guangtao, 24, fractured his skull in the horror crash on a busy motorway.

Now he intends to sue his pals for "torture" after he received a medical and insurance bill totalling an equivalent of more than £3,500.

Chilling footage has emerged of Ali covered in black ink and beer after his friends tied him to a pole in his boxers.

They whipped bamboo branches at him during a vicious hazing ritual, it is believed.

Ali said he ran into the motorway in Zunyi, China, as he could "barely see anything" due to the ink.

The car went onto swerve into a barrier.

Ali spent two weeks in hospital.

But local authorities said Ali was responsible for the accident and the car owner’s insurance company has reportedly demanded the significant sum in damages.

"Now that the insurance company is suing me, I will have to sue my mates," Ali said.

Prior to the legal dispute, Ai’s pals had already coughed up over £690 towards his medical bill.

The tradition of carrying out pranks on brides and grooms on their wedding day goes back hundreds of years in China.
