Arsenal in talks to sign £26m Italian – Transfer gossip from Tuesday’s papers

Rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are both in talks to sign Italian international Bryan Cristante this summer.

His representatives are speaking to both clubs about a potential move to London from Atalanta, according to Sky Sports .

The 23-year old, whose parent club is Benfica, has starred in Serie A this term, scoring 12 in 41 appearances.

His form has caught the attention of a number of clubs cross Europe with the midfielder reportedly keen on a move to England.

Whilst Cristante is high on the wish-list, Atalanta do have an option to make his loan permanent at the end of the season meaning his fee could easily double.
