Sleuthing the slight: Fans have since dissected Britney’s caption and many believe it contains a not-so-subtle knock against her former assistant Felicia Culotta, 56

‘I haven’t spoken to her in quite a while,’ Felicia told Page Six last week.

‘I write all the time,’ claimed Britney’s long-gone assistant, who left the pop star’s employ in 2007, right before the troubled hitmaker’s public meltdown.

Culotta went on to describe her ‘love’ of ‘handwritten letters’ and said that she prays Britney receives them.

‘I just hope and pray she gets them,’ said Felicia. ‘I know for sure before she wasn’t [in the past], so I’m very hopeful that she gets them [now].’

Felicia appeared in last year’s bombshell documentary Framing Britney Spears and spoke about the troubled hitmaker with warmth and affection.

But it appears that Spears has not appreciated Felicia’s numerous public comments.

Long-gone friendship: ‘I haven’t spoken to her in quite a while,’ Felicia told Page Six last week. ‘I write all the time’

Her hopes and prayers: Culotta went on to describe her ‘love’ of ‘handwritten letters’ and said that she prays Britney receives them. ‘I just hope and pray she gets them,’ said Felicia. ‘I know for sure before she wasn’t [in the past], so I’m very hopeful that she gets them [now]’

‘So much to be thankful for!!!’ exclaimed Britney, captioning a video of her dancing to Janet Jackson in a yellow belly-baring look. ‘I hope you’re all getting my Thanksgiving and Christmas cards in the mail.’

‘I know most didn’t get them in the past,’ she wrote, ‘but I hope you’re all being served with my handwritten letters now.’

Many fans have come to think that the Lucky singer’s caption is a thinly veiled slight at Culotta’s ‘handwritten letters.’

But Britney’s latest Instagram caption pales in comparison to how she called out Felicia on the platform earlier this month.

Subtle: It appears that Spears has not appreciated Felicia’s numerous public comments. Captioning a video of her dancing in a yellow belly-baring look, Britney wrote: ‘I hope you’re all getting my Thanksgiving and Christmas cards in the mail. I know most didn’t get them in the past, but I hope you’re all being served with my handwritten letters now’

Ever since she was released from her conservatorship last year, the Work B**ch megastar has been launching social media tirades at her family and former associates, taking retribution against those she feels mistreated her while she was under her father Jamie’s control.

Firing up her formidable Instagram earlier this month, Britney slammed the recent spate of ‘humiliating’ documentaries about her and took particular aim at Felicia.

She brought up ‘when my old assistant talked about how I went through the neighborhood passing out 100 dollar bills when my first song came out!!!’

The multi-platinum icon didn’t stop there: ‘I wish I could go inside the heads of people like my dad and her and really try to understand why people lie and make up such things like that!!! I mean it doesn’t get lower than that… why did you say that???’

‘That’s not even true!!!’ Britney insisted. ‘Wasn’t it already bad enough what they did to me and on top of it everybody is getting together and doing the trashiest docs I’ve ever seen in my life saying it’s TO HELP ME???’

It sounds like Felicia should save on postage and stop sending Britney handwritten letters.
