Celebs Go Dating’s matchmaker Paul Carrick Brunson involved in cultural appropriation row with Joey Essex and admits ‘I would have laid hands on star’
Celebs Go Dating Mansion’s matchmaker Paul Carrick Brunson was involved in a ‘cultural appropriation row’ with Joey Essex, who was a late arrival to the show.
The Sun reported that Paul, 46, accused Joey, 30, of making a ‘racially insensitive’ comment in scenes which have not been aired.
Joey used the term ‘fo’sho’ during a conversation with Paul, who is American, in place of saying ‘for sure’ and had already been warned by producers to not call Paul P-Dog ahead of filming.

Yet tensions rose when Paul tried to explain why Joey’s phraseology could be seen as offensive.
The term originates in African-American vernacular, but is often used by people of other ethnicities, sometimes as a kind of parody of language or culture.
Paul, who works alongside Anna Williamson on the show, alluded to a rift with one of the stars of the show in a post which was uploaded to social media.

He penned: ‘I never like saying goodbye, but this time was different.
