Cheryl Cole’s big 2018 comeback: Everything we know so far!

Ever since Cheryl Cole took a break from the music industry three years ago, fans have been dying for her to make a major comeback. And rightly so, we bloomin’ miss those dimples in our lives!

While her boyfriend Liam Payne, 24, has been getting busy in the studio, recently collaborating with Rita Ora on the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack, the Geordie beauty has kept a pretty low profile since giving birth to their son Bear, in March 2017.

But the wait is finally over, with the 34-year-old said to be making a big return to the limelight this summer…

But what does Cheryl have up her sleeve? Who’s she doing collabs with? Here’s what we know so far…

Her debut performance is due to be lit!

It’s no secret Cheryl has been working on new music, and it’s now believed she’ll perform her first single in four years during the live shows  of ITV talent show, Britain’s Got Talent, which will start in June.

On Tuesday night, a Twitter account , The Celebs Polls, tweeted a GIF of Cheryl in the video for her 2012 comeback Call My Name along with the caption: ‘@CherylOfficial will debut her new single in 4 years on the live shows of @BGT in June. #C5isComing’

And a day later,  another Tweet from the same account read: ‘To confirm, @CherylOfficial’s new single will be premiered on @R1Breakfast followed by a debut performance on @BGT the same week. She’s coming back…’

And just like us, fans are super-excited with one instantly replying on the post: ‘THE QUEEN IS COMING BACK!

She’s making a return to the Cannes Film Festival

A year after pulling out of her annual commitment, the L’Oreal ambassador will make a welcome return to the Cannes Film Festival.

Cheryl pulled out in 2017 after giving birth to her son Bear, three months before the event got underway.

‘Cheryl has always attended Cannes with L’Oreal Paris in her role as spokesmodel but there is no way she is going to leave the country with a new born baby. L’Oreal Paris are incredibly supportive of her decision.’

Chezza is renowned for attending the event on behalf of the French comsmetic brand in jaw-dropping gowns,  so we have high hopes for her wardrobe choices when she returns to the annual festival next month.

We cannot wait!

She’s planning to reclaim her TV crown…

Yup, it looks like Cheryl is set to make her big TV comeback on new BBC show The Greatest Dancer which was created by X Factor boss Simon Cowell.

Chez is said to have already filmed a pilot episode where she’ll act as a ‘dancer mentor’ for the hopefuls taking part.

Unfortunately, apparently that means the busy Geordie star has ‘completely ruled out’ taking her spot back on the X Factor judging panel. Damn!

It was previously thought Cheryl would replace Nicole Scherzinger on the ITV show after she made a little cameo at Judges Houses last year.

But after bagging herself a role on Simon’s latest project, an insider revealed to The Sun: ‘Cheryl loves X Factor but she enjoyed filming the pilot for a new BBC programme and loved it.

‘Dance has always been a passion for her so it feels right for her.’

The practice run saw Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon and Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo take the reins as hosts, while Glee actor Matthew Morrison and Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse also coached alongside Chez.

She’s working with Beyonce’s producer

Chezza has enlisted the help of mega-producer Naughty Boy to ensure she comes back with a bang! Last year, the producer – who is also behind the work of Zayn Malik and Ellie Goulding – revealed the pair were working on an upcoming project.

He said: ‘She is a lovely girl. We have recently met and we have written a song for her new album and we are really happy.

‘She is her own entity and she is in a good place. People are wanting her to come back and hear what she can do next.’

The 33-year-old treated fans to a  behind-the-scenes peak at their music-making, sharing a group picture of himself, Cheryl, and her former bandmate, Nicola Roberts.

He captioned the shot: ‘STUDIO GANG’ complete with fire emojis.

The Girls Aloud gang are involved too…

As well as working with Naughty Boy, the mum-of-one has called upon the help of her former bandmate Nicola Roberts, who recently revealed, ‘I’m writing for Cheryl.’

She added, ‘Hopefully those songs are good enough to make it out into the world.’

It’s little wonder, Cheryl asked Nicola, 32, to write her album.

The red head penned songs for Cheryl’s fourth studio album Only Human, which entered the UK charts at number seven, and has also written some of Little Mix‘s greatest hits, including They Just Don’t Know You.

As well as this, in 2002 – when  the girls were made into Girls Aloud on Pop Stars The Rivals –  Nicola impressed the judges so much, she was quickly picked to replace original member Nicola Ward.

Any more collaborations?

Cheryl has hinted at some super-exciting duets, sharing a picture of her and English rapper, Michael Dapaah AKA Big Shaq – who has over 200 million Youtube views alone on his debut single.

Posing in similar white jacket and black outfits, Cheryl captioned the pic quoting lyric’s to the Michael’s hit  Man’s Not Hot.

She said, ‘The girl told me: “take off your jacket” ! I said: “Babes, mans not hot.”’

It comes after Naughty Boy teased at a collab with last year’s X Factor winners Rak Su.

Sharing a group snap, which showed him pointing at a smiling Chezza, he wrote, ‘SQUAD,’ before adding the hashtags: ‘#fblock #naughty #music #watchthisspace’, which naturally sent fans wild.

SQUAD @raksuraksu @cherylofficial ? #fblock #naughty #music #watchthisspace

‘MY FAV!!!!! Damn, I already know the sound will be so fresh,’ one user wrote.

‘I’m gonna cry omg this is amazing,’ another said.

There’s also talk of her teaming up with Miranda Cooper who wrote some of Girls Aloud’s MEGA hits including Sound of the Underground, Love Machine, The Promise, Call The Shots, Something Kinda Oooooh, Can’t Speak French, Biology and No Good Advice.

The source told The Sun: ‘Miranda was vital in making Girls Aloud such a success.

‘She is a master at making out-and-out pop bangers, and that is exactly what Cheryl wants this album filled with.’

OOOO, Chez, we can’t wait to have you back in our lives!
