Claudia Winkleman husband: The one thing Strictly host wishes husband Kris would do

Claudia Winkleman is married to film and TV producer Kris Thykier, who is known for his work on movies including Woman in Gold (2015), Kick-Ass (2010) and Tolkien (2019). The pair have three children Jake, Matilda and Arthur – and live in Connaught Square, London. Claudia and Kris have been married for 19 years, but what is the one thing the Strictly host wishes her husband would do?

Speaking on BBC Radio 2 in August, Claudia, 47, gave a candid glimpse into her relationship with Kris.

Talking to comedian Russell Kane, 43, about his new show, the topic was broached after Russell said: “The broad jumping-off point for the show, which I know you’re going to love, is there’s roughly two tribes on this earth.

“It’s not Brexit/Remain, it’s not A/B, it’s not posh and poor.

“It’s high tempo, highly-strung mental people like us bouncing around being crazy and the laid-back, ‘Nothing’s gonna bother me, I did Buddhism in Thailand when I was 17’, those idiots who ruin our lives and the curse that we’re drawn to each other.”

Russell added: “Most people are married to someone from the other team.”

The Strictly Come Dancing host then revealed of her other half: “My husband’s very laid-back.”

She admitted this element of Kris’ personality means the pair rarely fight.

She said: “I can’t make him have a row, I’ve been with him for 22 years.

“I’m like, ‘Come on!’ Even if it’s about mustard!”

Claudia previously opened up about her family life telling in 2015: “the three different days I had my babies” were the best.

She added: “For me to tell you it was any other would be ridiculous. Even the part where I was having them was amazing.”

Claudia also told Red magazine of parenthood: “I’m proud that all my kids went to school today with the right bag, and the right snacks – Twiglets, in case you’re wondering.”
