Who is designing Meghan Markle’s second wedding dress?
Speculation about who will design Meghan Markle’s dress is reaching fever pitch.
Details of the dress are supposed to be kept strictly under wraps until she arrives at St George’s Chapel on May 19.
The UK’s Daily Mail reported Meghan’s engagement dress designer, Ralph & Russo, will make the first of two custom gowns for the big day — a heavily beaded dress she’ll wear as her father, Thomas Markle, walks her down the aisle.
Other designers said to be in contention for the second dress for the black-tie evening reception include Erdem Moralioglu, Stella McCartney or Christopher Bailey.
Renowned British bridal designer Caroline Castigliano, who dresses many society brides, told Page Six that she thinks Meghan would go for a dress that is “relatively traditional, but one with a modern twist that surprises people.”
She continued, “I think the dress will be in a delicate lace with subtle but intricate beading. It will be designed with a deep V neckline and long lace sleeve. The gown will skim Meghan’s figure and have a large dramatic train attached.”
Plus, “I think she will change at night, into something more slinky, to dance the night away.”
It was also reported that the bridesmaids and page boys would include Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and that their mother, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William will attend without their newborn son, Prince Louis.
Harry will also honor his late mother, Princess Diana, with a reading during the ceremony.
