Drake dedicated his Artist Of The Decade honor to his son Adonis at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.

The 34-year-old rapper was full of pride as he took the stage to accept the honor with three-year-old son, who he shares with Sophie Brussaux.

It seemed Adonis was a bit shy, as he clung to his father’s side and held onto his while wearing a nervous look in front of the large crowd.

The Hold On, We’re Going Home rapper thanked his ‘beautiful family’ as he ended his speech by picking up a crying Adonis, and saying: ‘I want to dedicate this to you.’

Doting dad: Drake brought his three-year-old son Adonis to accept the Artist of the Decade award at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday

While in his dad’s arms, Adonis had tears streaming down his face and looked ready to flee off the stage.

During his speech, Drake admitted he is ‘really bad at taking compliments’ and is ‘really self-conscious’ about his music.

‘I rarely celebrate anything,’ the Worst Behavior artist added.

‘For anyone watching this that’s wondering how this happened, that’s really the answer: It’s being so unsure how you’re getting it done that you just keep going in the hopes of figuring out the formula.’

Oh no: While accepting the big honor, the 34-year-old rapper’s little boy clung to his side and held onto his father’s trophy as he looked nervous in front of the large crowd

Worst Behavior: Before concluding his speech, he thanked his ‘beautiful family’ and sweetly picked up Adonis, who was crying and said: ‘I want to dedicate this to you’

Candidly, the God’s Plan hitmaker told the audience he ‘didn’t write a grandiose speech about how to make it work or what it took’ since he doesn’t even ‘ understand it’ himself; pictured with his mother Sandi Graham and father Dennis Graham

He continued: ‘Feeling so lucky and blessed that the fear of losing it keeps you up at night.’

Candidly, the God’s Plan hitmaker told the audience he ‘didn’t write a grandiose speech about how to make it work or what it took’  since he doesn’t even ‘understand it’ himself.

‘I just know that I’ve spent an incalculable amount of hours trying to analyze all the things I did wrong, but tonight for once, I’m sure as hell we did something right,’ he reflected.

Celebrating: After his big win he posed for photos with Beyoncé’s mom Tina Knowles-Lawson

Winners: DaBaby, who won for Top Rap Song and Top Streaming Song, and Drake posed on the red carpet together

Big night: DaBaby, Drake and Trae tha Truth looked thrilled after collecting their awards

Close-knit relationship: Drake and his little boy held hands as they arrived to the award show

He then gave a special shoutout to his collaborators as well as his competitors, whose tracks often leave him ‘tossing and turning at night trying to figure out what’ to do next.

Drake, who was nominated in seven categories at the 2021 BBMAs, won for Artist of the Decade and Streaming Songs Artist.

On his Instagram account, the star shared a photo of him and Adonis walking onto the stage from behind as well as a photo of his mother and gold trophy.
