Inside Gogglebox’s The Michael family’s Sussex home featuring vintage crockery, a vast magnet and book collection and another sibling who’s only made a brief appearance

They’re regulars on Channel 4’s popular reality TV show Gogglebox, entertaining the nation with their take on the week’s TV.

And away from the cameras, The Michael family live an idyllic life in their home in Brighton, Sussex, with siblings Louis and Alex often sharing a snapshot into their home on social media.

The cosy abode makes for the perfect family home with vintage crockery on the walls, a huge collection of books and a fridge crammed full of magnets.

Their living room, of which fans get a weekly glimpse, features comfortable charcoal sofas and a floral armchair for dad Andrew – perfect for those cosy nights in front of the TV.

While an oval glass table takes centre stage in the middle of the room, which is just ideal for the family to place their array of snacks on.

Decorating the room is their collection of ornamental plates, with the pretty vintage crockery lining the pink wall above the window.

Meanwhile, there are several photographs of the close-knit family dotted around the room. 

Parents Carolyne and Andrew and son Louis usually appear on the show, while sibling Alex has made regular appearances through the years.

However, there is in fact two other siblings, with Alex sometimes substituted by her lookalike sister Catheryne, also known as Katie. 

When the duo appeared on screen for the first time together a few years back, they sent viewers wild with some declaring their ‘minds were blown’ as they failed to realise there was another daughter.

There is also another son, Pascal, who studied neuroscience in Aberdeen, and is said to have made only a brief appearance on the show. 

Out in the hallway, there is a huge gilt frame gold mirror, which the family often like to take selfies in.

Rarely seen: While parents Andrew and Carolyne and son Louis are regulars, sister Alex makes occasional appearances. But other siblings Catheryne and Pascal are rarely seen

Over in the dining room, a large wooden table takes pride of place, with white french doors leading to another welcoming family room. 

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, it’s clear to see the family’s love for travel as their American-style fridge freezer is crammed full of magnets from across the globe. 

There is also a glimpse of their contemporary kitchen with white cabinets and dark worktops, complete with wooden flooring.

Louis’ personally collection of books in particular is rather impressive, with shelves full of novels piled high on a bookshelf in his room.

The Michael family have been regulars on the Channel 4 show since the first series in 2013.

However, they briefly left in 2015 after dad Andrew stood for election as a candidate for UKIP. 

The family returned to the show the following year after he lost his seat.
