‘We were all constantly on the move going to different events and interviews etc, so I did struggle to get into the gym.’

On the thought of baring his body every day on ITV2, he added: ‘Obviously I wanted to look the best I could if I was going to be topless on national TV all summer but my main focus was on wanting to be healthy.

‘But I definitely didn’t diet at all, I enjoy my food too much.’

Jack, who like many of his co-stars racked up fortunes by participating in nightclub PAs and endorsement deals, is reuniting with former Islanders in a new campaign for JD Sports.

The sportswear brand has announced a new partnership with the ITV2 show which will see the multi-channel retailer take over the gym in the soon-to-be revealed Love Island villa and provide activewear for this year’s contestants.

And Jack, along with Joanna Chimonides, Molly Smith, Michael Griffiths, are giving a glimpse of the clothes the new batch of Islanders will be wearing in a new teaser trailer.

JD Sports will own the exclusive Love Island TikTok hashtag challenge, provide gamified interactive content will run on a dedicated Snapchat portal, as well as the JD app, plus be the official partner for the Love Island podcast.

Providing new Islanders with fresh clothes upon their arrival in the villa would have certainly been welcomed by Jack.
