Fans who caught the clip became excited, but only managed to hear one line of the tune, which seemed to feature Jesy singing: ‘Sorry that you’re back so soon…’

The clip was uploaded to Jesy’s main Instagram page before it was taken down.

The soundless version then appeared on her Instagram stories.

Jesy announced her solo record deal with esteemed label Polydor two weeks ago.

She posted a snapshot of herself in front of the company’s logo, before posing from the comfort of a settee, as she shared the news with her followers.

She wrote: ‘So excited to announce that I’ve signed my first ever solo record deal with @polydorrecords @universalmusicgroup. This is such a pinch me moment. I cannot wait for you guys to hear what I’ve been working on.’

In the images, the star was seen wearing a black crop top, which she teamed with baggy white ripped jeans and a black knitted beanie.

Accessorising with glittering necklaces, the singer added to her look with a pair of black platform boots as she crouched for a snapshot.

Later in the day, she perched on a brown sofa and worked her best angles once more.

The news comes after it was reported that Little Mix, who are with Sony,  have formally cut financial ties with her following her exit from the group.

The remaining trio are expected to rake in a whopping £5 million from their upcoming tour, but Jesy will lose out on the profit as she’ll no longer serve as a director at their joint business.

Had Jesy remained part of the business, Eternal Magic Touring, her situation would have been similar to that of Victoria Beckham, who earned a cool £1 million from the Spice Girls’ 2019 comeback tour, despite not stepping foot on stage.

But Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirwall and Perrie Edwards are now said to have formalised Jesy’s exit from the BRIT Award-winning group and she’ll not make a penny from future gigs, with a source saying ‘this was the only fair way.’

A source told The Sun: ‘Jesy could have made megabucks if she’d have remained as a director on Little Mix’s business, Eternal Magic Touring, just like Victoria did with the Spice Girls.’

Big bucks: Also on Friday, it was revealed that Little Mix have become the UK’s top earning young female performers, after boosting their joined fortune by £6million over the past year

The insider went on to say that the remaining girls are set to play 24 dates starting in April next year, including two sold-out gigs in London.

They added: ‘They are expecting to make almost £5million from those gigs and if Jesy had remained on board as a director of the firm, she would’ve been privy to cash from the band’s live shows even if she didn’t sing a note.

‘But this was the only fair way for everybody going forward. It wouldn’t have seemed right for Jesy to remain part of it.’

Also on Friday, it was revealed that Little Mix have become the UK’s top earning young female performers, after boosting their joined fortune by £6million over the past year, giving them a combined net worth of £54million.

Profit: Had Jesy remained part of the business, Eternal Magic Touring, her situation would have been similar to that of Victoria Beckham, who coined in a cool £1 million from the Spice Girls’ 2019 comeback tour, despite not stepping foot on stage

Jesy recently discussed her departure from Little Mix in the interview and voiced fears her mental health could have deteriorated to a fatal point.

Gracing the cover of Cosmopolitan’s June issue, the musician admitted she would have ‘ended up back where I was five years ago’ – following her suicide attempt – if she didn’t leave the band and ‘freed herself’ last December.

The singer also revealed featuring in the video for Sweet Melody marked her ‘breaking point’.

Meanwhile, reports have recently claimed that the solo artist wants to ‘sever ties’ as they ‘haven’t spoken in months’ following her exit from the group for the sake of her mental health last December.

Missing out: They are expecting to make almost £5million from those gigs and if Jesy had remained on board as a director of the firm, she would’ve been privy to cash from the band’s live shows even if she didn’t sing a note

Sources have since claimed the documentary filmmaker is no longer in communication with her fellow X Factor winners, sharing: ‘The plan was always to stay in touch but that just hasn’t happened because Jesy didn’t want it.

‘She wants to sever ties and start again — that seems to be both professionally and personally.’

The Odd One Out star shocked fans when she announced her departure last year. It is alleged that Little Mix were shocked at some of what Jesy has said since leaving the band and thought she’d take longer to get back to launch her solo career.

Another insider added that although it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that Jesy has thrown herself into music as she was a ‘bit of a leader’ in Little Mix.

Financial parting: ‘But this was the only fair way for everybody going forward. It wouldn’t have seemed right for Jesy to remain part of it’

They told The Sun: ‘Communication between them has basically broken down now. There are formalities at times via third parties… there’s a clear divide.’

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Little Mix stars Leigh-Anne and Perrie shared glimpses of their growing baby bumps as they dazzled as ‘winged fatales’ in the music video for their new single Heartbreak Anthem.

The pregnant singers, aged 29 and 27 respectively, joined Jade Thirwall, 28, in dressing as stunning winged angels in the burlesque-inspired video for their epic collaboration with David Guetta and Galantis.

Heartbreak Anthem marks their first track recorded as a trio since the departure of Jesy Nelson in December.
