Looking good: Joe Jonas became a household name as a teen with the popularity of him and his brother’s band The Jonas Brothers. And the now 33-year-old star has spoken out about getting older, revealing that he gets injectables to prevent signs of aging, specifically his frown lines and a scar he has between his eyebrows

‘We’re all getting older and part of that is being comfortable [in our skin],’ the singer said to People magazine.

Xeomin is a cosmetic injectable that uses a purified formula to removed ‘unnecessary proteins’ that smooths fine lines, according to People.

He said his decision to get injections was also determined by the product: ‘I personally care a lot about what I put in my body, and with an aesthetic treatment like this, I wanted to be mindful of what was in it.’

He said that after he did Xeomin on his scar between his eyebrows and his frown lines, he said he ‘liked that it relieved the area a little bit and I was like, “Okay, this is great,” without it being too much for my liking.’

Adding: ‘I appreciated that it wasn’t over the top. It’s very light.’

On why he wants men to have open conversations about skin and also take care of it, the father of two said: ‘I don’t think it’s necessarily something that we have to shy away from.’

Adding: ‘We can be open and honest about it and be confident and not really shy away from speaking our truth.’

The star chatted about the stigmas surrounding men about wearing makeup, adding that he thinks it’s ‘fading’: ‘There were all these talks at one point like “Oh men can’t do this or it’s weird for guys to do that” and I think there’s a stigma that’s fading, and I like that.’

‘Adding: ‘Guys are more openly wearing makeup, and it’s great to see. It’s like, do whatever you want, you know? It’s a beautiful generation that we’re living in.’
