Karim Zeroual’s Strictly Come Dancing partner Amy accuses him of doing ‘something naughty’

Karim Zeroual, 19, and Amy Dowden, 28, have been putting in the hours in training this week in preparation for tonights Movie Week Samba.

Yesterday, they joined the rest of the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 line-up to run through their routines in the studio, updating fans on how it went on Instagram.

“Run-through done and we’re rehearsing the results show now,” Amy explained in a video which she shared with her 93,000 followers.

“The run-through didn’t go bad, actually.”

“The first one [run-through] you didn’t something naughty,” she scolded Karim gently.

“And I didn’t even tell him, somebody else had to tell him,” she added. “Jason [Gilkison, choreographer] had to tell him.”

“The big guy,” Karim chipped in, looking slightly guilty at whatever mistake he had made during the dance.

“But then he did it right on the second and third,” Amy continued, teasing: “Which one are you going to do tomorrow?”

“The right one, I’m hoping,” he quipped.

“It’s such a fun routine, isn’t it?

“It’s the most fun I’ve had so far in a routine, I think,” he said. “Because I just kind of let myself go.

“I can kind of mess about and it’s wicked!”

Karim and Amy will be dancing the Samba to the three song from Kung Fu Panda for the Movie Week special.

The have stormed the competition so far, dazzling the judges and viewers with their energetic Cha Cha Cha in week one, which scored them an incredible 31 points.

Last weekend, the CBBC presenter continued his strong streak, getting 32 points from the judges for his elegant Foxtrot.

During an appearance on Strictly – It Takes Two last night, he spoke out about the gushing comments from the judges after being compared to Gene Kelly.

“What compliments and what comments, I couldn’t believe it,” he admitted.

“I was over the moon, so overwhelmed.”

“I thought Ballroom wouldn’t be me and then I fell in love with that Ballroom number,” he continued. “The Latin stuff doesn’t come naturally, I wouldn’t say, but it’s high energy, fast-paced.”

Karim and Amy found themselves top of the combined leaderboard for weeks one and two, but will their good fortunes continue tonight?

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 continues tonight at 7.10pm on BBC One.
