Kelly Rowland is pregnant! Destiny’s Child singer, 39, debuts her bump in stunning shoot as she reveals she is expecting her second child with husband Tim Weatherspoon

Kelly Rowland has revealed she is pregnant with her second child. She and husband Tim Weatherspoon are already parents to son Titan Jewel, six.

The Destiny’s Child star, 39, debuted her bump in a stunning shoot for the latest issue of Women’s Health.

She said: We had been talking about it loosely, and then COVID happened. And we were just like, “Let’s see what happens”.

‘I was thinking, Oh my god, my fans are gonna be so disappointed. They wanted an album first, but they got a baby! And I was like, “I have to figure this out so they get both”.’

Kelly said she fell pregnant quickly and that their baby is due later in the year. 

The superstar told the publication she had been nervous to share the news when country is facing the coronavirus pandemic and a ‘national reckoning on race’.

Kelly discussed her cravings with the publication. She said: ‘I am obsessed with sandwiches. A turkey sandwich with mustard and rye and sprouts and onion and sometimes a little avocado’

She said: ‘I don’t really count calories. Trust me, there are some days when it’s hard to look at seeds and nuts and fruit when everybody’s got french fries and burgers and Roscoe’s chicken and waffles at midnight’

She said: ‘You still want to remind people that life is important. And being able to have a child… I’m knocking at 40’s door in February. 

‘Taking care of myself means a lot to me.’ 

Kelly also discussed the snacks she craves mid-way through her 90-minute exercise sessions, saying: ‘I am obsessed with sandwiches. 

‘A turkey sandwich with mustard and rye and sprouts and onion and sometimes a little avocado… 

‘I don’t really count calories. Trust me, there are some days when it’s hard to look at seeds and nuts and fruit when everybody’s got french fries and burgers and Roscoe’s chicken and waffles at midnight.’

She said: ‘I’d just put Titan to bed. I got into the shower, and I had this real hard, ugly, deep cry’

Kelly continued: ‘Because I promised to protect my kid. That was the main thing I was thinking about: protecting this little innocence’

During the interview, Kelly also discussed grieving over the death of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

She said: ‘I’m learning so much about myself, and the things that I missed. You say, “I’m fine, I’m fine”—and yeah, I’m fine—but there are things I would have liked to have experienced from a father. I like to touch on everything. I want it to feel very organic, coming from me.’

In 2015, Kelly spoke about being a mother for the first time. 

She told Parents.com: ‘I was nervous that I didn’t have the patience to be a good mom, because before Titan I had zero. But now I am very patient. 

‘The Bible verse “love is patient” is real!’ I don’t make the little things into big issues like I once did. My OCD had to go out the window. 

‘My living room looks like a freaking day care!’

In 2017, she released the book ‘Whoa, Baby!’, which covers topics such as urinary incontinence, postpartum depression and having sex after giving birth.

And talking about painful breastfeeding and bleeding after giving birth, she told Today.com: ‘These are things that happen! We’re human — it happens!

‘Every mother has experienced it in one shape or another, and it’s important to open the dialogue for it.

‘Urinary incontinence, (for example). Being out in public, you sneeze or share a giggle with one of your friends … and you’re thinking, I can not believe this happened to me.’ 

Kelly’s mother, Doris Rowland Garrison, sadly died aged 66, only a few weeks after the birth of Titan. following a heart attack. 

Kelly and Tim reportedly started dating back in 2011, which led to the announcement of their engagement on The Queen Latifah Show in December 2013.

They were eventually married in Costa Rica in May 2014.    

Kelly was last pictured heading out in LA last month, wearing a protective mask and large, white-rimmed sunglasses. 

She has spent a good deal of her time Down Under serving as a judge and a coach on The Voice Australia since 2017. 

Throughout her career, Rowland has sold over 30 million records as a solo artist, and another 60 million records during her run with Destiny’s Child.

This helped make them among the best-selling girl groups of all time, with hits like Say My Name and Bootylicious.

The group, that oftentimes featured Beyonce as the lead, released four studio albums beginning in 1997 until their disbandment in 2006. 

Rowland and Beyonce have remained friends and have reunited on various projects over the years, including her appearance in Brown Skin Girl.

The music video also features the likes of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s eight-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter, Naomi Campbell and Lupita Nyong’o.
