The two-and-a-half minute video, which was viewed only by close family and friends, saw the late Kardashian seemingly speak directly to Kim, in celebration of her 40th birthday.
Kris said that her and her family ‘all just started to cry’ after the touching video began, adding that she ‘must have watched it 20 times’ since.
Speaking on Andy Cohen’s Sirus XM radio show Radio Andy on Monday, she explained: ‘You know, we didn’t really know what was happening because it was such a small group of Kim’s inner circle, just our family and a few friends.
‘And when we were summoned to this room and said you know, “Kanye has a gift” and it’s Kim and me and her sisters and her brother, I didn’t know what was happening.’

The Kardashian momager described Kanye, 43, as the ‘king of gifts’ saying that he had spent a ‘really long time’ planning the unique present for his wife.
She added: ‘It started and we just all started to cry. It was, you know intense, but I must have watched it 20 times. It was just, it was really good.
‘It was, he is the king of gifts and, and he worked on that for a really long time. So it was definitely one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. It was really wild.’
After watching the video for the first time, Kris said the room was ‘very quiet’ and all they ‘could hear was each other crying’.
The close-knit group immediately wanted to watch the hologram again but Kris admitted that she had to take a moment for herself to ‘digest’ the ‘beautiful moment’.

She explained: ‘I literally had to go back to my room and just sit there because I needed to digest that.
‘It was intense, and it was a beautiful, beautiful moment, so I just wanted to kind of enjoy that.’
In the video, the virtual incarnation of the late Kardashian patriarch said that his famous daughter was ‘all grown up’ and hailed Kanye as ‘the most genius man in the whole world’.
‘Happy Birthday Kimberly,’ greeted the hologram. ‘Look at you! You’re 40 and all grown up. You look beautiful just like when you were a little girl.
‘I watch over you and your sisters and brother and the kids everyday. Sometimes I drop hints that I’m around,’ the hologram said, making reference to something the Kardashians refer to as a ‘big peefee’ (presumably a bodily function).
Marriage: Robert married Kris Jenner in 1978 and during the span of their 13-year marriage, the former couple welcomed daughters Kourtney, 41, Kimberly, 40, Khloe, 36, and son Rob, 33
‘Remember when I would drive you to school in my tiny Mercedes everyday and we would listen to this song together,’ recalled Robert, as he began to jive to the beat of the 1961 hit Who Put The Bomp by Barry Mann.
As the track played out, hologram Robert made frequent thumbs up and even attempted to sing along to some of the catchiest lyrics.
The Robert hologram then delivered a heartfelt speech to Kim about how ‘proud’ he is of her and her accomplishments.
‘I am so proud of the woman you have become, Kimberly, and all that you’ve accomplished. All of your hard work, all of the businesses you have built are incredible.
‘But most impressive is your commitment to become a lawyer and and carry on my legacy,’ noted Robert with a smile and a tender hand on his heart.

‘It’s a long and a hard road, but it’s worth it. And I am with you every step of the way.’
He was referencing Kim’s four-year apprenticeship program at a California law firm, which she has already completed one year of, and her goal to take the bar exam in 2022.
The hologram of Robert continued: ‘But the most important thing that I have witnessed is watching you grow your family. You married the most, most, most, most genius man in the whole world, Kanye West.
‘You are the most, most, most, most amazing mother to your four beautiful children. They are perfect.
‘Keep doing what you’re doing, Kimberly. You are a beautiful soul. Know that I am very proud of you and I am always with you.’

Hologram Robert passionately declared that he has ‘built a firewall around [the Kardashian family].’
‘I love you, Kimberly. Tell Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob that I love them and that I miss you all. Don’t forget to say your prayers,’ concluded the realistic image of Kardashian before fading into the darkness.
According to TMZ, Kanye delivered the unforgettable gift to his wife of six years and her family during their recent trip to Marlon Brando’s The Brando Resort in Tahiti.
Other sources told the publication that Kanye ‘spent a lot of time in the studio poring over old video and audio of Robert to bring the vision to life’.
Artificial intelligence was also reportedly used to ‘finish off the project, which Kanye started in early September’.

Sharing a video of the hologram with her Twitter followers on Thursday, Kim gushed: ‘A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. ✨ It is so lifelike! We watched it over and over, filled with emotion.’
In a follow-up post, Kim wrote that she ‘can’t even describe what this meant to me and my sisters, my brother, my mom and closest friends to experience together’.
‘Thank you so much Kanye for this memory that will last a lifetime. Here’s a more close up view to see the incredible detail,’ concluded the KKW Beauty founder, who re-uploaded the original clip in higher quality.
But the extravagant gift received a savage backlash from Twitter users who saw the video, arguing that the hologram is an unattainable gift for the average person.
One Twitter user admitted that the Robert Kardashian hologram was ‘a very thoughtful gift,’ but that they, personally, found it ‘creepy’.
‘And I don’t think I’d want it, but she appreciates it so… whatever. These people have too much money and need to be taxed. A lot,’ they concluded.
Trolls: Kris said she does not ‘worry’ about the Twitter users who said ‘ugly things’ about Kim’s video (both pictured in a throwback snap shared by Kris on Instagram for Kim’s birthday)
‘Kim out here making sure we know how poor we are,’ wrote another irked user.
On Monday’s radio show, Andy asked Kris about her thoughts on the ‘assholes’ who had slammed Kanye’s lavish gift.
She replied: ‘Listen Andy, we learned a long time ago to have thick skin and you can’t really worry about people that are hating all the time and so miserable and feel the need to reach out and say ugly things.’
