Kristin Cavallari says she ‘would cringe’ watching ‘The Hills’ now
Kristin Cavallari prefers that the past stay in the past.
Following her three-season stint on “The Hills,” the mom of three revealed she isn’t keen on watching the reruns.
“If I did watch them I would cringe,” the “Very Cavallari” star told PEOPLENow on Friday. “I think MTV played them a couple summers ago and my husband Jay [Cutler] put them on as a joke to mess with me. It was definitely cringeworthy! I know what I did! I know what happened.”
After getting her start on “Laguna Beach” in 2004, Cavallari joined “The Hills” in 2009 following Lauren Conrad’s departure.
“I wouldn’t trade my experience in for the world,” said Cavallari, 31. “It got me to where I am today.”
Despite her complicated past with Conrad, 32 — the pair were entangled in a love triangle with Stephen Colletti during the early seasons of “Laguna Beach” — Cavallari wasn’t jaded by the experience.
“I was so young. I think I’ve just grown up so much — thank goodness,” she shared. “I really do have great memories and [it was] an overall very happy, positive experience.”
And should her three children — sons Camden, 5, and Jaxon, 4, and daughter Saylor, 2 — inquire about her MTV days, Cavallari will proceed with caution.
“When they’re old enough to figure out how to find it, they can watch it. When they’re teenagers and they’re old enough to understand and where I can be like, ‘I was 17, you’re 17, you can relate. I was an idiot back then. This is what you don’t want to do,’” Cavallari said.
