Lewis Hamilton catches the eye in a casual cream ensemble as he heads to a practice session in Lusail ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix

He’s used to winning Formula One races on the track.

But on Saturday Lewis Hamilton showcased his bold sense of style as he stepped out in an all in cream ensemble at the Qatar Grand Prix in Lusail.

The racing driver, 36, stood out in the cream jacket which featured embroidered drawings of male figures.

Fashion-forward: On Saturday Lewis Hamilton won serious fashion points as he stepped out in an all in cream ensemble at the Qatar Grand Prix in Doha

He wore a white t-shirt underneath and teamed it with a pair of matching cream trousers.

His dark brown braided locks had been tied into a tousled topknot and he added a pair of black sunglasses to his outfit.

Clutching his phone in one hand, he finished his look off with a pair of black boots with chunky soles.

The pics came before Lewis took pole position for the Qatar Grand Prix, keeping alive his hopes of winning a record eighth world championship title.

A week ago in Brazil he set the fastest time in qualifying only to be stripped of the advantage by the stewards for carrying a marginally illegal rear wing. Again, the part on his Mercedes is subject of much chat from rivals Red Bull.

He will certainly hope he attracts no penalty this time around with time running out on his quest to overhaul Max Verstappen’s 14 point lead with three rounds of the season remaining.

Here under lights at the Losail circuit, Hamilton finished 0.455sec ahead of his Dutch rival.

Hamilton will be helped in Sunday’s race by having his Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas starting third in contrast to Verstappen, who will be fighting at the front on his own after Sergio Perez unexpectedly fell out of the action in Q2, qualifying a disappointing 11th.

Brit Lando Norris acquitted himself for McLaren, qualifying sixth, eight places above team-mate Daniel Ricciardo.
