Man Utd fans love what McTominay said to Valencia in Wembley tunnel at full-time

Manchester United fans loved what Scott McTominay said to Antonio Valencia in the players’ tunnel at Wembley following The Red Devils’ 2-1 win over Spurs.

Dele Alli gave the north Londoners the lead but United rallied back to win with goals through Alexis Sanchez and Ander Herrera.

Antonio Valencia, United’s captain on the day, ran himself into the ground before eventually being substituted in the 80th minute by Matteo Darmian.

Following the final whistle, the Ecuadorian was captured hobbling back to United’s changing room by Wembley’s Tunnel Cam.

Following Valencia in was McTominay, who didn’t make it into the matchday squad.

Seeing his team-mate struggling, the midfielder says: "Captain, put your arm around me."

United’s right-back bravely turns the offer down and continues to hobble on.

One United fan commented under the video: "’Captain, put your arm around me’ – That right there is why McTominay’s character more than anything will serve him well in his future career."

The observation received 383 likes.

Another viewer added: "McTominay saying captain put your arms around me to Valencia."

Classy from the youngster.

Are Manchester United unfairly criticised?
