Miley Cyrus Takes Back Vanity Fair Apology, Nude Shoot

While Miley Cyrus‘ middle name could basically be controversy at this point, she wasn’t always as willing to push the envelope. The 25-year-old singer was once known as an innocent little Disney Channel star, so when she posed almost nude for a Vanity Fair photoshoot done by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz a decade ago, sh*it hit the freakin’ fan.

The picture in question showed MiCy sitting down with nothing but a blanket covering her bare torso. Many people criticized the then-15-year-old for being overly sexy and her parents, who were on set for the shoot, for allowing it to happen.

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” she said at the time (via The New York Times). “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”

But now, 10 years later, the “Malibu” singer is taking back that same apology.

“IM NOT SORRY,” she wrote on Twitter on the anniversary of the controversial image’s release. “F*ck YOU #10yearsago”

The tweet included a picture of a New York Post cover that featured the pic, along with the title, “MILEY’S SHAME.”
