Ramos posts classy message to Iniesta after being given special gift

Barcelona star Andres Iniesta put club rivalries aside after Sunday’s El Clasico, giving his Spain teammate Sergio Ramos his shirt.

Iniesta made his final Clasico appearance in the 2-2 draw with Real Madrid at the Nou Camp, receiving a standing ovation when he was replaced by Paulinho just before the hour mark.

And Real defender Ramos – his long-time international colleague – paid tribute to a fierce club rival after the match.

"For my teammate, here’s to our many moments together and others as rivals," he said. "Thank you and good luck!"

Ramos then posted a picture of himself with the shirt on Twitter, writing: "Beyond what happened on the pitch, last night’s will be remembered as Iniesta’s Clasico.

"You will be missed, my friend."

Ramos was involved in an altercation with Luis Suarez during the match, and also made an accusation that Lionel Messi pressured the officials .

“Messi put a bit of pressure on (the referees) in the tunnel, I don’t know if there are cameras"," he said.

“I don’t know if in the second half it made them referee in a different way.”

Is Sergio Ramos the best defender in the world?
