Rylan Clark-Neal has achieved fame and fortune that no one ever expected, after he was classed as a joke act on The X Factor.
Instead of letting his failures get the better of him, Rylan, whose real name is Ross, became a superstar, making pals with Katie Price on her reality show, becoming a fan favourite on X Factor despite his poor singing abilities, and winning Celebrity Big Brother.
Rylan's determined attitude comes after a violent attack as a teenager at the hands of school bullies, who used to taunt him for being "fat, ginger and gay".

"I was the fat, ginger kid at school. The first three years of school was hard and then I was like, 'I'm gay now, get over it.' It was taunting and very difficult," Rylan, who married his husband Dan Neal in 2015, said in a previous interview.
"When I lived in London there was this playground that I used to go to after school and I got pulled off a rope swing and some boy kicked me in the head and fractured my skull.
"I was probably about 13 or 14. I was in hospital, it was a horrible time. I just got to a point where I thought ‘f***k off’, if anyone said anything to me I’d give it to them straight back," he told the Sun in 2019.

Instead of fading into obscurity when he was mocked for his bright blonde hair and equally bright white teeth on The X Factor, Rylan owned his looks and went on to become a household name.
As well as landing the presenting gig on Big Brother's Bit On the Side, alongside Emma Willis, Rylan went on to appear as a regular presenter on This Morning and also bagged his own radio show.
And not to mention his return to Strictly Come Dancing's companion show It Takes Two alongside Zoe Ball, where the duo job share during the week and present together on Friday.

The 32 year old also became the host of Supermarket Sweep after it was revived in 2019 following the late Dale Winton who was the original host.
Rylan also took part in Celebrity Bake Off going up against Michelle Keegan, Celebrity MasterChef and on Celebrity Gogglebox with his mum Linda, who suffers from Crohn's Disease.
He appears to be one of the most in-demand telly stars of the 2000s, but as his onscreen persona 'Rylan' goes from strength to strength, the former model will always be just 'Ross' at home to his family and close friends.
