Selena Gomez Prefers to Stay Single Forever After Justin Bieber’s Engagement
The Disney Channel alum admits that she’d rather be single for life in an interview with other ‘Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation’ voice actors.
Days after Justin Bieber got engaged to Hailey Baldwin, a video of Selena Gomez making a statement that she would stay single for the rest of her life was released. The “Same Old Love” songstress was promoting her new animated film “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation” in a playful interview with BuzzFeed when she confessed her feelings.
During the interview, Selena played “would you rather” game along with other voice actors including Andy Samberg, Keegan-Michael Key and Kathryn Hahn. The singer then got the first turn to answer the questions from a bucket.
“Would you rather find out the love of your life is a vampire who needs to drink a gallon of your blood every night to survive, or be single for the rest of your life?” Selena read one of the questions out loud. “I think I’m gonna be single for the rest of my life, so..,” she answered it effortlessly as she laughed.
There was an awkward moment for a while after she answered it because the other voice actors didn’t laugh with her. It is unknown whether the “Hands to Myself” hitmaker was actually trying to tell the audience about her true feelings following her ex-boyfriend’s recent engagement or she was just joking.
The “Monte Carlo” actress and the Canadian pop star rekindled their on-again, off-again relationship in October 2017 before calling it quits in March 2018 due to Selena’s mom disapproval of Justin. “Selena and Justin decided to take a break mainly because of Selena’s mom and her disapproval of Justin,” a source told Us Weekly. “Justin’s family loves Selena, but Selena’s family has put her in a very conflicting spot because they still don’t trust Justin. Selena has tried to convince her family that Justin has changed…but her family just isn’t budging right now.”
She has yet to release any type of statement regarding Justin’s engagement.
