‘Southern Charm’ star Cameran Eubanks: I regret how I treated Kathryn

Nearly six months after giving birth to her first child, Cameran Eubanks feels she’s finally found her footing with motherhood.

“I would say in the last month, I have finally gotten the hang of it, I have a routine,” the “Southern Charm” star told Page Six on Tuesday. “A lot of new moms don’t talk about how hard it is because they don’t want to be stigmatized, but it’s really hard, especially having your first baby. At least it was for me, it was a huge adjustment.”

Though Eubanks, 34, didn’t consider herself “a child lover” before welcoming daughter Palmer with husband Jason Wimberly in November, becoming a mother has changed her perspective.

“It has made me a much more emotional person, it has also made me have a lot more empathy for other people,” Eubanks said. “I see [children] as these little helpless beings that you really shouldn’t get frustrated with. I was the person on the plane, when there was a screaming kid, that would cuss under my breath. I don’t do that anymore. I give grace. I understand.”

Eubanks has also rekindled her friendship with co-star and fellow mom Kathryn Dennis, who shares daughter Kensie, 4, and son St. Julien, 2, with castmate Thomas Ravenel.

“I feel so much more empathy for Kathryn now that I’m a mother,” she said. “I look back and wished I treated her differently. She has lived more life at 25 than most of us have.”

Another “Charm” star who would ace diaper duty: Whitney Sudler-Smith.

“I think Whitney would be a great dad,” Eubanks said. “I don’t think it’s anything he would enter into haphazardly, he would take it very seriously. I think when he does become a dad, he’s going to be like 100 percent all-in.”

“Southern Charm” airs Thursday at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
