‘Love is all you need’: Stella and Mary McCartney sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to their father Sir Paul as they mark his 79th birthday

Stella and Mary McCartney sung ‘Happy Birthday’ to their father Sir Paul on Friday as they marked his 79th birthday. 

The fashion designer, 49, and her photographer sister, 51, exercised their vocal chords as they chorused the classic birthday song to their famous dad. 

Stella showcased her chic sense of style in a white jumpsuit whilst Mary rocked an abstract print one-piece.

They sung the song to camera for social media, before panning slightly to get their dad in shot.  

Sir Paul raised his hands and gave an elated smile as he was seen sporting a navy blazer and striped shirt. 

The trio appeared to be at a photoshoot as camera lights flashed behind them and they stood in front of a blank canvas backdrop. 

‘Thank you girls!’ he exclaimed.

Mary shared the clip to her Instagram account and penned: ‘[music note emojis] a day to celebrate x Happy Birthday Dad x [heart emoji] x Mary.’ 

Stella also shared a snap cuddling Sir Paul who looked surprised yet happy.  She wrote: ‘Hugs from the birthday boy [green heart emojis].’

In another video of her father dancing to the Happy Birthday song, she penned: ‘Happy birthday to my incredible dad. 

‘You are an inspiration who lives in the moment and life to its fullest. You are a grandude and I can’t believe I chose you… what a clever little baby I was for landing such a kick-**s dad.

Sir Paul was seen in The Hamptons earlier this month as The Beatles star and his wife Nancy Shevell, 61, got dressed up for a romantic meal. 

The smitten singer looked suave as ever in a smart blue suit for the scenic outing. 

He had his trouser legs turned up and wore a blue and brown striped shirt underneath his double breasted suit jacket.

Protecting himself on their date night, the legendary musician also wore a paisley patterned face mask. 

His wife Nancy, who linked arms with her husband, looked chic in a flowing black long-sleeve top, which was adorned with white flowers, and a pair of black straight leg trousers.

Keeping cool she wore a pair of strappy sandals but carried a cream shawl in her arm in case the weather turned cool during their meal.  

She accessorised the look with a long silver neckace with a large jewel encrusted heart pendant and some dainty earrings.

Her brunette tresses were styled in a natural wave and pulled back into a half-up hairdo.
