Strictly fans call for Anton Du Beke to be a full-time judge after he replaces Motsi Mabuse while she quarantines

Anton Du Beke has been filling in for judge Motsi Mabuse on Strictly Come Dancing because she has to quarantine for two weeks.
The 54-year-old former show professional has taken Motsi’s spot owing to the fact that she had to leave the UK to travel to Germany, meaning she cannot be on the show for a fortnight.

But it seems that when he appeared on the hit BBC dance show on Saturday 14 November, he was a big success.
Viewers and fans are already calling for him to become a permanent fixture on he show.
From his humorous nature to jovial rapport with the other judges, many on Twitter have been raving about his performance.
One wrote: "@bbcstrictly @TheAntonDuBeke Ok enough already these last few years Strictly, just give Anton a full time judge's role!”
Another added: "Anton has been saving up the SHADE for this moment. #Strictly".

A fourth Twitter user observed: "Anton is channeling some weird blending of Len and Brucy. #Strictly”.
One even went so far as to describe the move as “genius”, writing: "@TheAntonDuBeke genius having Anton as a judge on #Strictly."

Motsi having to quarantine came as a blow to Strictly, considering the hit dance show has already lost Nicola Adams, who had to drop out of the contest after her dance partner Katya Jones tested positive for coronavirus.
Several of the crew have had to isolate also because they have been in contact with Katya.

On Twitter, gold medallist Nicola wrote: "Hey guys! I’m absolutely gutted my Strictly journey has ended so soon, I had so much more to give and so many people to win this for!
