Travis Barker visits studio days after pancreatitis hospitalization

Back to work! Travis Barker heads into his Calabasas recording studio just days after he was hospitalized with ‘life-threatening pancreatitis’

Travis Barker showed off his surprisingly quick recovery from pancreatitis on Tuesday when he was seen dropping by his recording studio.

The 46-year-old drummer looked as if he was back to normal as he entered the building, which is located in Calabasas, near the home he shares with his wife Kourtney Kardashian, 43.

He was discharged from the hospital only days earlier after suffering with the ‘life-threatening’ condition last week, which was apparently brought on by an endoscopic procedure he underwent last Monday.

Travis was seen stepping out of his large black Mercedes G Wagon, which he parked right in front of the entrance.

He opted for a standard casual look for his studio trip with pinstriped black trousers and matching black sneakers with tall socks.

The drummer highlighted her punk rock bona fides with a black T-shirt that appeared to commemorate the hardcore band D.O.A.’s 1990 tour, which read ‘Murder’ in block letters below the band’s logo.

Travis appeared to have some kind of black thumb stabilizer on his left hand, though it wasn’t clear if he had injured himself.

As he strolled up to the entrance, he received a warm greeting from one of his pals, who was dressed in a matching all-black look with a shirt repping the classic punk band The Misfits.

The friends shared an affectionate fist bump before Travis led the way into the studio.

Although he opted for a luxurious ride into work, Travis favored a classic car the day before when he went for a joyride on the Fourth of July.

The rocker was joined by his wife Kourtney Kardashian and her two youngest children — Penelope, nine, and Reign, seven — as he drove his orange Chevy CST pickup truck.

The lovebirds seemed to be in high spirts after the punk rocker’s health scare, as they could be heard rocking out to Bruno Mars’ 2010 single Grenade in a video from the drive that Kourtney posted to her Instagram Stories.

In her videos of one of their drives, Kourtney wore a black wide-brimmed Prada hat, which he held down with her hand to stop it from flying off in the breeze, despite having a draw string under her chin.

She looked relaxed and casual in a white tank top over a black bikini top, along with a black shrug covering her arms and shoulders.

Penelope had on a tan sweatsuit with a baseball cap poking out from under the hood, while Reign had on a white graphic T-shirt and jean shorts.

Travis had been hospitalized a week earlier for what he later revealed was ‘life-threatening pancreatitis,’ which he said was apparently caused by an endoscopy that he went in for on Monday of last week.

‘I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But After dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since,’ he wrote in his Instagram Stories on Saturday.

‘During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis.’

He concluded by sharing how ‘very very grateful’ he was that he was ‘much better’ following ‘intensive treatment.’

In her own social media statement, Kourtney wrote, ‘Oh what a scary and emotional week it has been. Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change. Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.’

She continued, ‘I am so grateful to God for healing my husband, for all of your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. I am so touched and appreciative.

‘I am so so thankful to our specialists, doctors, and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such wonderful care of my husband and me during our stay.’

In a follow-up post, she wrote, ‘It’s crazy how sometimes words could never truly express the gratitude or feelings I have inside of me.’
