Will & Jada Pinkett Smith’s Company Hit with COVID-19 Outbreak
Will and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s production company Westbrook Inc. has been hit by a COVID-19 outbreak after 10 staffers tested positive for the virus.
Variety reports that this is the “first significant transmission reported at a production company.”
“We received 10 positive tests and the crew members quarantined and remain in quarantine,” the company told Variety. “All 10 people were retested and have received negative results. We will continue to follow all official guidelines and safety protocols.”
Production has been halted on the project that the infected staffers were working on, but production continues on several other shows that involve non-infected workers.
A representative for Westbrook said that some people who were in close contact with the infected workers have self-quarantined, but they wouldn’t confirm how many. None of the infected workers have shown symptoms of the virus.
Westbrook is currently working on Will‘s upcoming movie King Richard, a reboot of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Jada‘s Red Table Talk.
Will and Jada made headlines last month for an entirely different reason.
