JOEL PEREIRA has completed his switch to Hearts from Manchester United on a season-long loan.
The 23-year-old will be hoping his spell in Scotland will lead to him breaking into the Red Devils' first team with his last competitive appearance for United coming in 2017.
Pereira – who has represented both Switzerland and Portugal at youth team level – is in contention to face Motherwell in the League Cup on Friday.
He will be battling Czech shot-stopper Zdenek Zlamal for the No1 jersey at Tynecastle.
His move means he has now been shipped off on five loan spells since 2015, with the player spending last year at Vitoria, before joining Belgian side KV Kortrijk in January.
Pereira links up with youngster Demi Mitchell at Hearts, with the United right-back returning to Edinburgh on loan.
WEST HAM centre-back Issa Diop has reiterated his commitment to the Hammers.
The French defender was a reported target for Man Utd earlier this summer, but a move ultimately failed to materialise.
Speaking to France Football, Diop said: “West Ham, for me, it was not and is still not a springboard to go elsewhere, it’s the club where I want to try to become the best defender I can be, compared to my qualities.
“Whether technical, tactical, physical, I still have a large margin of progression.”
REAL MADRID have upped the ante in their pursuit of Neymar – after offering Isco, Varane and Marcelo to Paris Saint-Germain starin as part of a swap deal.
Zinedine Zidane is willing to part with some of his own stars in order to land the wantaway Brazilian.
Los Blancos are willing to pay Neymar, 27, £700,000-a-week in order to secure his signature but know they face competition from Barcelona.
The update would be good news for Manchester United, with Real willing to end their chase of Paul Pogba should they land Neymar as part of their monster summer spree.
Pogba, 26, revealed this summer he wanted to quit the Old Trafford giants, but Real have already spent £150m to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea.
On top of that, Los Blancos have spent big on the likes of Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo.
BAYERN MUNICH are reportedly interested in signing Philippe Coutinho should the Barcelona ace not be involved in Neymar's potential switch back to the Nou Camp.
According to Sky Sports, the Bundesliga side are looking for a two-year loan deal – similar to the arrangement they had with Real Madrid when they signed James Rodriguez.
However they state that Coutinho's preference is not to move to Germany.
LIVERPOOL have omitted Dejan Lovren from their Uefa Super Cup squad to face Chelsea.
The Croatian centre-back has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield with Roma keen to snap him up for £15million,
Speaking on whether he believes Lovren will say, Jurgen Klopp said: “No idea.
“It’s [his omission from the squad] because he is ill.
“We will see what happens in general, not just in this window.”
