Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder could be BACK ON as promoter Eddie Hearn prepares counter offer
The potential unification clash looked dead in the water as Wilder’s team last week snubbed two New York meetings with AJ’s promoter Hearn.
The WBC heavyweight champ made a £35million-plus offer but would not discuss finer details with Joshua and Hearn, who looked set to walk away.
Hearn is preparing a second offer, raising the initial £8.8m he had promised Wilder.
The Matchroom boss said: “I will send them a new offer.
"It could be an increase on the basic fee, it could be a bigger split, it could be a bit of both.
“I feel we have to go back and keep trying as we want this fight next.
“I can’t just agree to their offer because it doesn’t work like that.

“We want to talk about the fight, we’re interested but they won’t meet me.
“Hopefully a new offer will get things moving in the right direction again.”
Hearn’s Matchroom USA venture saw Jarrell Miller beat Johann Duhaupas in an eliminator for Joshua’s WBA title on Saturday.
And Hearn, who landed back in London on Monday, said: “If we can’t get Wilder then we would definitely want Miller next.”
