Ascot tips: Racehorse Tyson Fury looking to emulate boxing namesake with easy victory

ASCOT is ready to rumble this afternoon as big-hitter Tyson Fury takes to the turf.

The boxing legend knows what it takes to swat aside his opposition in the ring – but can he do it on the track?

The two-time heavyweight champion of the world has been honoured with a racehorse of the same name – and connections will be hoping the 6-4 shot can deal a knockout blow in today's 4.15 at Ascot.

Richard Spencer's three-year-old colt looked an exciting prospect on debut, making his rivals throw in the towel with an impressive display back in July.

He stepped up to title-fight grade last time in the St Leger but that came a little soon in his career, and today's clash looks more local gym-ring than MGM Grand.

That should ensure Tyson Fury gets his name back in the winner's circle this afternoon, with his hardy attitude meaning he'll box on bravely in the in rain-soaked conditions.

Today's 4.15 looks the perfect stepping stone for Tyson Fury to progress through the racing ranks.

He couldn't quite handle the hustle and bustle of Classic grade last month but this should be much more up his street now dropped in class.

He's rated 103 which is well above any of his rivals and this is a race he really ought to win.
