BBC slammed by furious viewers after FA Cup coverage is cut short… because Pointless Celebrities was coming on

No post-match manager interviews or analysis was provided after Manchester United beat Tottenham to book their spot in the final.

Fans flocked to Twitter to voice their frustration after the programme ended just minutes after the final whistle.

Viewers were eagerly awaiting for the pundit's to dissect the match, but before they knew it Pointless presenter Alexander Armstrong was firing away questions.

One fan branded the BBC as a "disgrace" after it prioritised a repeat of a Pointless Celebrity Special for the prime time slot.

For those who do not know, Pointless is a British quiz show which features teams of contests that have to find obscure answers.

The celebrity special included the likes of former Olympian Mark Foster and ex-girlfriend of Sven Goran Eriksson Nancy Dell'Olio.

Twitter user @Davidhalluk said: "And that’s why @BBCSport shouldn’t have any live football.
