Less than a week after getting released by the Washington Football Team, quarterback Dwayne Haskins has new representation.

Haskins has signed with Goal Line Football, the agency announced, his first step toward joining a new NFL team. He will be represented by former Lions and Buccaneers executive Cedric Saunders and Brian Levy, according to ESPN.

Saunders played tight end at Ohio State, where Haskins played from 2017-18.

Two days after his release from Washington, Haskins, 23, parted ways with super-agent David Mulugheta.

“Dwayne is a great young man with whom I wish I could have continued to work with,” Mulugheta wrote on Twitter. “Yet the decision was made that a fresh start would be in Dwayne’s best interest. I wish him nothing but success moving forward and will continue to root for him.”

Haskins is a free agent for the first time in his career following a messy exit from Washington. He was released just one week after video surfaced of a maskless Haskins at his girlfriend’s birthday party with strippers, hours after Washington’s Week 15 loss to Seattle.

Washington fined Haskins $40,000 for what was his second breach of COVID-19 protocols and stripped him of his captaincy. Haskins was fined earlier in the season for making a reservation for a family friend at the team hotel the night before a game against the Giants. He then started Washington’s loss to Carolina last Sunday but was benched midgame for Taylor Heinicke and waived the next day. Haskins went unclaimed on waivers.

The No. 15 pick in the 2019 draft has reportedly already drawn interest from other NFL teams, though he may not be signed until after the season. The Carolina Panthers are reportedly one of the teams interested.
