Frank Warren publicly blasts Dave Allen for snubbing Daniel Dubois fight and moaning about ‘horrendously low’ offer – The Sun

FRANK WARREN publicly outed Dave Allen for snubbing a fight against Daniel Dubois by moaning about an “horrendously low” offer sent.

The veteran promoter revealed he met with fan-favourite Allen on Saturday and discussed the purse to fight 22-year-old KO king Dubois.

Though “The White Rhino” insisted the heavyweight scrap was “dead in the water,” after believing the offer sent by Warren and his son was too low.

Tyson Fury’s promoter responded on Twitter, and claimed he wanted to keep negotiations private, but felt the need to “set the record straight” – while believing Allen was being advised to demand a higher purse.

He said: “We offered you the original asking price that we were quoted before we met, and then increased the offer at your request as you said it wasn’t enough.

“There is now a third and improved offer on the table which is for the same purse you told us at our meeting you were paid to fight David Price in a losing effort.

“The offer, which includes if you wish a comeback fight should you lose, is on the table for the rest of the day.

“We wanted to keep this private but by reading your comments on ‘horrendously low offers’, we needed to set the record straight.

“Our guess is the boxing rumour mill is in overdrive and people are telling you there’s more money in it than what you previously asked, That’s just not the case.

“You’re a good lad and we wish you well whatever you decide.”

Allen responded online and claimed he only wanted more money to take the fight in December, as he would have less time to prepare for the bout against British and Commonwealth champ Dubois.

The 27-year-old – who was taken out on a stretcher in July after a stoppage defeat against Price – revealed he is keen to take lesser purse for a March fight against 13-0 DDD.

Allen tweeted: “Hello to whoever runs franks twitter, as you know the boxer (myself) does have the final say but I have do have a manager and several people advising me, you want it december you know the figure, you want it March you know that figure is considerably less, have a great day.”
