Liverpool ‘favourites to land Jadon Sancho as they leapfrog Man Utd in transfer race for unhappy Dortmund star’ – The Sun

LIVERPOOL have reportedly emerged as the new favourites to sign Jadon Sancho.

The unsettled Dortmund star has been heavily linked with Manchester United.

But Jan Aage Fjortoft, a former footballer turned journalist, claims that it is now ex-Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp in the driving seat.

And he adds that Sancho wants to leave as soon as January.

It has all started to go wrong for Sancho in recent weeks at Signal Iduna Park.

The 19-year-old was fined £86,000 for returning late from international duty – and subsequently dropped.

He was then made to train alone in the pouring rain.

He was also hauled off by boss Lucien Favre after just 36 minutes of the 4-0 hammering from Bayern Munich in November.

And the South Londoner was benched for the recent Champions League trip to Barcelona.

His performances, however, have largely remained in tact.

He came off the bench in that game against Barcelona to score in fine fashion at the Camp Nou.

And he bagged another on his return to the starting XI as Dortmund beat Hertha Berlin 2-1 on Saturday.

After the match at Barcelona, he was quizzed about his omission from the starting XI.

But the England international revealed that he was "not allowed to speak."

Manchester United are long-term admirers of the former City youngster.

They have persistently been linked with a £100million plus move to sign him from Dortmund.

But Klopp could now raid his former club to further strengthen his already imperious looking Reds.
