Peaceful and Champers Elysees were first and second last time in a high-class Matron Stakes and it's easy to see why the head the betting.

They both arguably ran career bests, and both may be even better here in softer conditions.

That said if things get too testing, and given the forecast that cannot be ruled out, then stamina may come in to the equation more so than last time out for this pair.

If that were to be the case, and it is an if, then preference would be for Peaceful this time out.

She will likely come on for the outing last time and why ten furlongs would be the best move for her, this may prove a test over a stiff mile.

But top of the shortlist from a punting point of view is John Gosden's TEREBELLUM.

The four-year-old filly started the season with a bang before she was beaten in the Group 1 Falmouth at the July Meeting.

She didn't look completely right that day and a bit of time off indicates that may have been the case.

She needs to bounce back here, but if you forget that run she'd be plenty shorter for this.

A return to her Queen Anne form, in conditions that will suit her perfectly should see her run a mighty race. She'd be the bet for more at 11-2.

Stablemate Nazeef has been very productive this season but is unlikely to relish the soft ground.

She's had a tough enough campaign and wouldn't be for me at the odds whatsoever.

French raider Half Light demands major respect after connections stumped up to supplement her in for this.

Godolphin number one Will Buick rides her, although don't read too much into that, as Buick doesn't usually ride Terebellum either.

But she is clearly liked at home, however I have her a good few pounds off being good enough to win this unless she takes a big step forwards.

Veracious is a rock solid horse for Sir Michael Stoute. She needs to improve on her Haydock win to figure here though.

Richard Hannon's pair of Billesdon Brook and Cloak Of Spirits both look solid each-way options. I couldn't put anyone off having a placed poke with those with the top three being paid.

Ralph Beckett has his team in good nick again and why this looks a tall order for Feliciana De Vega, she is at the least worth a market check.

She's unexposed and there would have been far easier starting points for her.
