Ricky Hatton in Tyson Fury's corner for comeback as boxing world braces itself for return of The Gypsy King

Fury has been training hard in order to shift the excess weight ahead of his fight against an unnamed opponent on June 9.

He is currently being coached by Ben Davison at Hatton’s gym in Manchester.

And The Gypsy King will now be getting extra expertise from the great man himself.

Hatton told MEN Sport: “Ben and Tyson know I’m behind them 100 per cent. If they want me in the corner I’m there on their shoulder any time they want.

“Ben’s a very young, intelligent, ambitious coach. He’s always got my ear that he can whisper in if he needs a bit of advice, plus Tyson has got a lot of boxing knowledge himself.

“Tyson has been heavyweight champions of the world. He wouldn’t have employed Ben if he didn’t think he was capable of it. He’s adding to what Peter Fury gave Tyson.

“Everyone will say I’m biased but Tyson has come back with a vengeance and more determined than ever.

TICK TOCK Joshua and Wilder must agree terms for fight in next three weeks, warns Hearn

“It’s a pleasure seeing someone get back to the condition he has done, and it makes me a proud Mancunian.”

Coach Davison added: “Ricky will be helping us out and will be in the corner with us so we’re very thankful to Ricky for that.

“Ricky is one of the best fighters that the country has ever produced and him and Tyson have a lot in common.

“The facilities at his gym are great and we’ve got a great team now, so we’re really looking forward to the fight.

“Everybody said it was mission impossible to get Tyson back, but we’ve done it. The date is set and he’s looking in fantastic shape.

“I’ve been full time with Tyson since the start of November and from day one I could see the love that he has for this sport.”
