Six Nations 2021 betting tips, predictions and betting offers for first round of fixtures as England face Scotland

ENGLAND will most-likely bore, snore and roar their way to another Six Nations victory.

And armchair fans watching from home will be hoping it's less of the first two tactics after a dull Autumn Nations Cup.

France have shown the way to play with sensational scrum-half Antoine Dupont the stand-out player in the game right now – both north and south of the equator.

But Eddie Jones wants winning to be a habit for England and will resist the calls to blood any youngster and instead go for the tried and tested method, led by skipper Owen Farrell.

With Maro Itoje and Billy Vunipola they will bash and smash their rivals up front and maye even let the backs not kick it away once the weather gets better later in the competition.

Wales have gone back to experience and that should help them become more consistent – but they won't threaten to break into title-contenders.

Ireland are also in a similar boat and have to start reinventing themselves with ageing Johnny Sexton no longer the feared force he was.

As for Scotland and Italy, well, the Auld Enemy might bag a couple of wins, but no more – the Italians once again make up the numbers as the Six Nations whipping boys.

Six Nations predictions

Italy v France

The Azzurri couldn't have a worse-possible opener.

France are flying and the 2023 World Cup hosts have their Va-Va-Voom again.

With petit general Dupont bossing them around the field and a crop of rising stars like Cameron Woki in the pack they are a serious force again.

Italy have no chance, sadly, and questions will only continue as to what their worth is in the SIx Nations.

England v Scotland

After charging to a 31-0 lead in 2019 – only to draw 38-38, anything could happen during the game

But won't thing that wont at the end of it, will be an England defeat.

Even without starters from the World Cup final in Kyle Sinckler and Mako Vunipola Eddie Jones' England will be too strong against a side who will be desperately looking for Finn Russell to lead them to a shock victory at Twickenham – 38 years after their last one.

Wales v Ireland

Two middling teams who have lost their way with new coaches who can't get a break.

Ireland should be halfway towards world domination right now but have desperately fallen flat since the heights of 2018.

Wales, who won the tournament in 2019 under Warren Gatland, are also struggling with Wayne Pivac at the helm.

Ireland should win in Cardiff as an empty Principality Stadium with the roof closed will suit them to a tee.
