Two Manchester United defenders ‘set to leave Old Trafford for Serie A’

Two Manchester United defenders are poised to quit Old Trafford this summer.

Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian are reportedly wanted in Serie A by Inter Milan and Juventus.

ESPN report that both men are edging towards the exit at United after making just six Premier League starts between them all season.

Blind is catching the eye of Inter and could be prepared to take a pay cut in order to secure his move to Italy.

Meanwhile, Juve have reportedly been long-term admirers of Italian international Darmian.

Fellaini hits out at Carragher

Marouane Fellaini has renewed his war of words with Jamie Carragher – taking aim at the Liverpool legend over the spitting storm that saw him suspended from Sky Sports.

Carragher has been an outspoken critic of the Manchester United midfielder – and Belgian international Fellaini has hit back once more.

In a wide-ranging interview with magazine Sport/Foot, Fellaini was asked for his reaction to Carragher being among those to suggest his game is overly physical.

He said: “How can someone like Jamie Carragher dare to question me?

"The guy spat from his car on a girl after a Manchester-Liverpool match. You know, critics help you progress, you end up working more, you want to show them they are wrong."

Bailly misses United’s awards after being ‘frozen out’

Eric Bailly is understood to have not attended Manchester United’s Player of the Year awards.

Mirror Sport reported earlier this week that Bailly is concerned about his Old Trafford future after being frozen out by Jose Mourinho.

United boss Mourinho has given Bailly no explanation why he has been dropped and was axed completely from the squad to face Arsenal on Sunday.

Mourinho has surprised United players by giving Bailly the cold shoulder and the defender has been left unhappy by the situation.

The Manchester Evening News reports Bailly was one of two United players not in attendance at the awards dinner.

Twenty-three of the United first-team squad members were paraded on the stage.

Romelu Lukaku was absent after picking up an ankle injury in the win over Arsenal.
