Fortnite has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch, and it's out today

Nintendo has just announced that gaming phenomenon Fornite is coming to the Switch.

Reggie Fils-Aimé, president of Nintendo of America and meme machine, announced that the hugely popular title will be coming to the hybrid system today (June 12), and should be available on their online store from the end of their presentation.

Unlike a lot of other games like Skyrim that have made their way to The Big N’s platform, they haven’t announced any exclusive content, so you won’t be able to build a indestructible fort and get shot anyway while dressed as Princess Peach.

Elsewhere in Nintendo’s E3 Direct, the studio also announced that Dragon Ball Fighters Z was coming to Switch, confirmed Overcooked 2! and gave us a heck of a load of information of the highly-anticipated Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Epic Games recently announced that they are going to give away $100 million worth of prizes to Fortnite players across the 2018 to 2019 season, and obviously with the Switch version you can take it on the go.

Alongside the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, PC and Mac versions, Fortnite recently came out on iOS and is heading to Android soon, so expect its dominance to continue for quite some time.
