Apple’s latest and greatest iPhones will go on sale this Friday with these devices offering a swathe of new features including the ability to send texts even when there’s no mobile signal and take better pictures thanks to improved rear cameras. A new Crash Detection upgrade will also call the emergency services if you happen to have an accident in your car plus the new Pro models now arrive with something called the Dynamic Island which turns the notch into an interactive bar for answering calls, watching timers and more.
Express.co.uk has already had our hands on these devices and you can read our full iPhone 14 first impressions review here.
If that’s got you thinking of upgrading there’s good and bad news as things have gotten even more expensive in 2022 with the iPhone 14 starting from £849 and the iPhone 14 Pro costing at least £1,099.
Luckily, there is a way to make things far cheaper with Apple offering huge discounts to those happy to hand over their older devices. In fact, some iPhone owners will find they can slash the price of a new call maker by over £600.
iPhone 14: Apple’s Tim Cook introduces new phone
If you have a recent iPhone in your pocket and are thinking of switching to the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro, here’s what that device could be worth.
• iPhone 13 Pro Max – Up to £625 back
• iPhone 13 – Up to £420 back
• iPhone 12 Pro Max – Up to £460 back
• iPhone 12 – Up to £315 back
• iPhone 11 Pro Max – Up to £285 back
• iPhone 11 – Up to £205 back
• iPhone X – Up to £115 back
• iPhone 8 – Up to £85 back
Although the iPhone 14 Pro is very expensive this year, Express.co.uk thinks this is the device to buy in 2022.
That’s because it not only gets that unique Dynamic Island upgrade but also other exclusive features such as a faster A16 Bionic processor, much brighter display and a more advanced triple-lens camera that should make every image look like it’s been snapped by a pro.
This device also now features an always-on screen which shows constant information such as time, date, exercise activity and battery life.
Apple has created this constantly glowing screen without it impacting battery life which is pretty impressive.
If you want to make the switch to any new iPhone and have an old device in your pocket it’s worth checking to see how much Apple will give you via trade-in plan as you could save some serious cash.
