Shoppers can get two Google Home Minis for £68 at this high street store

Currys PC World has slashed the price of the popular Google smart home speaker devices.

The tech retail giant has reduced the price of individual Google Home Mini speakers down to £39 each, offering shoppers a saving of £10 off the normal £49 price tag.

When shoppers buy two they get a further £10 off , bringing the bundle down to £68 instead of £98 – a total saving of £30 off the normal RRP.

Customers have until May 8, 2018 to claim and there is the option of buying the black or silver/grey version.

Online shoppers who add two devices to their basket and opt for home delivery will have the discount automatically applied to their order.

If the reserve and collect order option is selected the discount will only be applied in store and the lower price won’t show up in your online order.

There’s currently no word on when the offer will end but we imagine it won’t be around for long.

Fans of smart home technology can use Google’s popular mini speaker in any room to schedule appointments, set reminders, answer questions and control other household devices such as heating systems and lighting.

The speaker, which rivals Amazon’s similarly priced Echo Dot device, has the advantage of using Google’s powerful search engine to accurately respond to requests and questions.

Users can also sync multiple devices together which can be used as an intercom system or linked to other speakers that have a Chromecast Audio device plugged into them for a surround sound experience.
